Blockchain | Ethereum Classic (ETC) has completed Atlantis Hard Fork


In a Twitter post posted by the Director of ETC Developer Relations, Yaz Khoury. in his tweet, Yaz congratulates the Ethereum Classic (ETC) development, team

"Congratulations @eth_classic for the successful activation of Atlantis's hard fork! This is one of the longest debates to reach consensus along with much political powerlessness. Learn a lot about the beauty of decentralization and distributed communities. "

So basically the Ethereum Classic (ETC) development team has activated the Atlantis hard fork, this fork aims to improve altcoin functionality and compatibility with Ethereum (ETH).


This ensured that the ETC hard fork named in Atlantis was following what was expected, at that time it was estimated that the fork would be completed on the steps between September 12 and September 13, 2019 - at the height of 8,772,000 blocks. As ETC Labs said at the Cointelegraph in June:

"The community has held many meetings to discuss the time, scope and involvement, and we have decided on the direction and timing of the release of Atlantis."

In a report, miners and contributors are considering positioning a hard fork in the 8.75 million blocks, and are expected to run on September 15.
